  • Rinse mouth with warm water to clean area
  • If bleeding, apply pressure with gauze
  • Apply cold compress to reduce swelling
  • If you are not able to see our office immediately, apply temporary dental cement (this can be found at any drugstore)

Tooth Knocked Out:

  • Hold the tooth by the crown, NOT by the root
  • Rinse tooth in warm water
  • Do NOT remove any tissue fragments that may still be attached to the root of the tooth
  • Do not let the tooth dry out, keep in a cup of milk
  • Bring the tooth with you to our office!
